Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of taking revenge against CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal over the Patanjali land scam.

He made the allegation while talking to media persons in the parliament premises on Friday. Stating that there was a smell of political vendetta on the part of the Prime Minister, he said chairman Nepal had expressed surprise over the registration of the case and was confident that the court would deliver justice.

Stating that the CIAA has also raised a serious question somewhere, he said that the decision of any prime minister and cabinet does not fall under its jurisdiction and the CIAA should answer that it has filed a case of the same nature again.

Chairman Dahal said, “Madhavji himself has said that he was surprised about Madhavji. Madhavji has expressed confidence in the court that the court will do justice and he will come back soon after getting a clean chit. I certainly believe that the court will do justice to him. But the prime minister smells of some political vendetta. The authority has also raised a serious question somewhere. ‘

“Earlier, the CIAA itself had written a letter to baburam Bhattarai and Madhav Nepalji in the context of lalita niwas case, whatever question was raised about Baburam Bhattarai and Madhav Nepalji, it is not within our jurisdiction, if the cabinet does, it is not within our jurisdiction. But now the same authority has taken a policy decision by Madhavji. The question arises that the authority will answer because it has re-entered into it. If this is to be done, we have said that all prime ministers and home ministers should be investigated since 064. It is necessary to debate whether this is policy and theoretically correct or not,” he claimed.

Chairman Dahal said that if the CIAA continues to investigate the policy decision, then any prime minister will come under the purview of the investigation. He said that there is a need to debate whether it is policy and theoretically correct or not.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against 93 people, including former prime minister Nepal, in the Patanjali land lease case.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday filed a corruption case against the accused, including Chairman Nepal, in the Patanjali land embezzlement case. A case has been filed with Chairman Nepal demanding Rs 185.85 million.
