Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has informed the Parliament about his official visit to friendly country Thailand and his participation in the BIMSTEC Summit.

Addressing today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Oli informed that the Prime Minister of Nepal is going to pay an official visit to Thailand for the first time after 65 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The first official visit of the Prime Minister of Nepal to Thailand will be from Chaitra 19. Prime Minister Oli said that this visit will be important in itself in the context that there has been no official visit to Bangkok, which is the ‘gateway’ for Nepalis to visit countries other than their immediate neighbors. During the visit, Prime Minister Oli will hold meetings with the King and his counterpart of Thailand.

Two MoUs will be signed on the occasion of the visit in the context of tourism and culture. Six MoUs will be signed between the non-governmental sector in the presence of the two Prime Ministers. He informed that he will hold discussions with prominent businessmen of Thailand and will address the Asian Institute of Technology.

Prime Minister Oli will hold the BISTEC Summit on Chaitra 22 and will hold sideline talks with the leaders of the remaining countries as much as possible after the address.
