Parbat. Residents of Phalebas Municipality have donated 9 ropanis of land worth Rs 3.35 million for the construction of a ward office and police post. Residents of Phalebas-5 Khanigaun have collected donations, purchased the land and handed over the title deeds to the municipality and the District Police Office.
Local social worker Bholanath Sharma Lamsal informed that locals as well as people from home and abroad have helped in purchasing the land. He said that five ropanis and three aanas of land have been purchased to build the police building and four ropanis of land to build the ward office.
So far, the police post has been operating in a rented house, while the ward office is being operated in the Phalebas Irrigation Project office. The land title deed has been handed over to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista and Ward Chairman of Khanigaun Narayan Prasad Lamichhane.
