Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has commented that the current government has failed to work in a result-oriented manner.
Addressing a think tank organized by the Socialist Front Nepal in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Chairman Nepal said that the current government has failed to instill any hope among the people.
He said that the current government is far ahead in talk and far behind in results. Stating that it is necessary to adopt a system that suits the country’s environment for the development of the country, he insisted that that system is the socialist revolution.
He also said that the Socialist Front should be taken forward in a way that provides an alternative in 2084. He said that other political parties in the opposition should also be united with the Socialist Front.
He said, ‘We should also unite the opposition parties in the parliament. That responsibility is also on our shoulders. We have called for that, but some of them did not come. Some parties are told in their hearts to join the Socialist Front, but their bodies say wait and see. Some parties have not been able to come even though they want to join the Socialist Front. We are ready to wait for unity.’
‘No hope has been awakened in the people. No result-oriented work has been done. The current government is far ahead in talk and far behind in results. Since this situation has arisen, people are actually searching for alternatives. Not now. Since that has happened, we are talking about 2084. In the context of the 84 elections, there is a need for every party and socialist campaigner to move forward among the people. We have put forward the program of scientific socialism by completing the tenth general convention,’ he said.
He stated that the Socialist Front was built on the basis of socialist ideas and said that everyone should work together to confirm the legitimacy of the front.
