Khotang. The Khotang branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists has decided to establish a ‘Journalist Pension Fund’ to provide pensions to journalists above the age of 70.
The full meeting of the branch’s district working committee on Tuesday decided to set up a fund for journalists and provide pension money to journalists in the district. Haribol Acharya, President of the Federation Khotang, said that a decision has been made to establish a pension fund with the aim of providing pensions to journalists above the age of 70 to keep active journalists in the district in the journalism profession.
He informed that it has been decided to give responsibility to three former presidents of the Federation Khotang branch to develop the pension fund operating procedures.
