Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has clarified that he has no involvement in the Patanjali land lease case.
Addressing the second plenary meeting of the party’s Bagmati Province Committee here today, Chairman Nepal stressed the need for a thorough investigation into the incident. Stating that legal experts are being consulted to go for legal treatment, he said, “The Commission for The Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case in the special court. The investigation will continue. I didn’t say there should be no investigation. I am a supporter of good governance. But I have been accused of this kind. There is a legal remedy for this. ”
Chairman Nepal, who is also a former Prime Minister, said that his legal experts are investigating 1,000 pages of old documents.
Party Vice-President Gangalal Tuladhar expressed the view that the party was committed to maintaining good governance established to protect democracy and constitution and the welfare of the country and the people.
At a meeting chaired by Bagmati Province Committee Chair Bhim Dahal, party secretary Sabitra Bhusal accused some people of trying to weaken the party after seeing an important role in the party’s national politics, which has been advocating against corruption and in favor of good governance. RSS
