Kathmandu. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has stressed the need for advancing economic partnership through connectivity by expediting trade, transit and investment between Nepal and India. Minister Rana said this while inaugurating a program on Nepal-India Strategic Dialogue held in Kathmandu today.
She said shared prosperity between Nepal and India would be achieved only through joint partnership and connectivity in various sectors. She said the time has come for Nepal and India to transform the connectivity between the two countries into prosperity through various platforms.
Stating that Nepal-India relations were built on the foundations laid at the beginning of civilization, Minister Rana expressed the belief that people’s contact, cooperation and connectivity would help in drawing the line of prosperous future of the two countries as the lives of the citizens are based on shared values, culture and sentiments.
She stressed the need for nepal and India to increase mutual connectivity by investing in roads, railways, waterways, airways and digital infrastructure.
Stating that the global economic scenario is now focused on knowledge-based economy, services and digital platforms, Minister Rana stressed the need for the two countries to jointly focus their efforts in the areas of digital economy, technology and innovation, modern education, skill development and creative economy in the days to come.
