Kathmandu. The session of the Federal Parliament is being held today at 1:00 PM. This session, called the Winter Session, is also considered as the Bill Session. The House is scheduled to have top leaders of political parties, including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, deliver their speeches.
According to the probable agenda of both houses made public by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will nominate members to chair the meeting in accordance with Rule 10 of the House of Representatives Rules, 2079 BS.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Oli will present the ‘Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to the Promotion of Good Governance and Public Service Delivery, 2081 BS’.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will present the ‘Financial Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081’, ‘Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081’ and ‘Ordinance to amend certain Nepal Acts relating to economic and business environment improvement and investment promotion, 2081’ will be presented.
Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari will present ‘Ordinance to amend certain Nepal Acts relating to cooperatives, 2081’ and ‘Ordinance to amend certain Nepal Acts relating to land, 2081’.
Similarly, the agenda of the National Assembly meeting includes the ‘Ordinance to amend certain Nepal Acts relating to promotion of good governance and public service delivery, 2081’ to be presented in the House of Representatives. According to the agenda, Prime Minister Oli will present the ‘Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts relating to the promotion of good governance and public service delivery, 2081’ in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, Tulsa Kumari Dahal, will present the ‘Report of the Committee on the Media Council Bill, 2080’ and the ‘Report of the Committee on the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081’.
