Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun has said that the government was not as flexible as expected on the visit visa issue. Speaking to media persons at the Parliament House premises on Wednesday, Deputy General Secretary Pun made the remarks.
Stating that the government was getting hotter instead of being soft on the visit visa issue, he said that the visit visa issue was not a matter of opposition but the pain of the common people and the government should be committed to the investigation.
“The government has not yet been as flexible as it said on the visit visa issue. I hope that by tomorrow, the government will present itself responsibly and flexibly. We have become very soft, the government is hot. The government should be a little soft and responsible. It is not a matter of the opposition but of the people. The common people are suffering. The government’s commitment is necessary to investigate this and establish the facts. ’
Opposition parties have been obstructing parliament demanding the formation of a high-level inquiry committee to probe the involvement of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak in the human trafficking case under the cover of visit visa.
Although the opposition parties, which have been obstructing the parliament session since May 13, allowed the budget to be presented on May 15, the discussion on the budget could not start as it was more than two weeks.
