Kathmandu. MP Surya Bahadur Thapa has said that the ordinance is in the interest of stakeholders and the country. Speaking at a special time in the House of Representatives today, MP Thapa said that the government has brought 6 ordinances in the interest of stakeholders and there is no need for unnecessary opposition.

MP Thapa suggested stopping unnecessary media coverage and accusations, saying that since the winter session is a bill session, priority should be given to the process related to lawmaking.

‘There is unnecessary opposition regarding the ordinance. Currently, 6 ordinances have been introduced. The ordinances related to promoting good governance, returning savings of cooperative savers, promoting information technology, industrial environment, financial responsibility and land have been introduced,’ he said. ‘The stakeholders are happy. But some of our MPs did not seem happy. The ordinance has come in the interest of the stakeholders and the country. Protesting is useless.’

MP Thapa said that the current government has paid more than Rs 30 billion to construction entrepreneurs who were left over from the previous government’s tenure after the government was formed.

‘During the current government’s tenure, revenue has increased. Capital expenditure has increased. Tourism arrivals have also improved. The economy is on the verge of returning to normal,’ MP Thapa said. ‘Now, the government is being criticized for opposing unnecessary ordinances. This is not against the constitution. It is a facility given to the government to bring an ordinance in a short time when the parliament is not in session.’

MP Thapa said that a great achievement would be achieved if the two big parties of the country cooperated. ‘This time too, great achievements should be made. The government is moving forward with the objective of removing despair and instilling hope in the society,’ he said. ‘Corruption has increased in the country. An ordinance is being brought to maintain good governance.’

MP Thapa objected, stating that the opposition is accusing the cooperative of political vendetta in the Thaki case. He said that the Social Media Regulation Bill will stop electronic crimes.

MP Thapa demanded an investigation into the mysterious death of Prakriti Lamsal, a student from Butwal, who was studying at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in the Indian state of Odisha.
