Kathmandu. Opposition parties have continued to obstruct the House of Representatives. Wednesday’s meeting was also affected due to continuous obstruction by opposition parties demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over the visit visa issue.
As soon as the house met for the day, the opposition lawmakers stood up from their seats and protested. As soon as Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the commencement of the meeting, lawmakers of the main opposition parties protested with sloganeering.
They have been insisting that a parliamentary committee should be formed and he should resign to conduct an impartial inquiry against the Home Minister in the visit visa case. Earlier, the ruling party and the opposition have held several discussions to end the deadlock in the House, but no concrete agreement has been reached.
