One person dies after being struck by lightning in Jhapa

Jhapa. A person died today after being struck by lightning in Balubathan, Gauradaha Municipality-5, Jhapa.

54-year-old Dudhkumar Lawati died on the spot after being struck by lightning while having lunch at home, informed Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office. The deceased Lawati had a permanent residence in Arubhote, Miklajung Rural Municipality-3, Panchthar, and was currently farming for Gomnath Chemjung in Gauradaha, Jhapa.

The police have stated that the body has been sent to Damak Hospital for an autopsy after completing the necessary legal procedures.
