Kathmandu. A person has been arrested and made public today on charges of murder using a sharp weapon under the Parapkar Bridge in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Teku Superintendent of Police Angur GC informed that 32-year-old Ashish Shrestha, a resident of Chautara Sangachokgadhi-7 in Sindhupalchowk and currently residing in Dallu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-5, has been arrested.
He said that he was arrested on charges of murder in the incident in which Bikram Tamang alias Maila, aged 42/43, of Kavrepalanchowk Bhumlu Rural Municipality-10, was found injured by a sharp weapon on April 16. .
Tamang, who was found injured, was taken to the National Trauma Center for treatment, where he died on the same day. Police have said that he was arrested after it was revealed during the investigation that Shrestha had committed the incident.
Superintendent of Police GC informed that the knife used in the incident, a Samsung mobile phone, and the bag, shirt, pants, shoes, and cloth mask used during the incident were recovered from Shrestha. He said that he has been sent to the Police Circle Janasewa for necessary action on a murder-related offense.
