Rautahat. Rautahat: One person was killed in a road accident at Mangalpur of Chandrapur-1 in Rautahat along the East-West Highway. Buddha Limbu, 32, died on the spot after being hit by a vehicle on the highway this morning.
Balaram Raut, ward chair of Chandrapur-1, informed that Limbu was killed when a vehicle going from west to east hit him. Locals had blocked the highway by placing the body on the spot until the vehicle was identified.
Ward chair Raut said that the obstructed highway has been brought into operation after an agreement was reached to find the vehicle that hit the vehicle within 24 hours. Chief of District Traffic Police Office, Rautahat, Lokendra Adhikari, said that the vehicles have come into operation now.
