One killed in lightning strike

Kailali. Kailali: One person was killed in lightning strike in Kailali today.

The deceased has been identified as Upendra Bahadur Shahi, 26, of Gauriganga Municipality-2, Jhil, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kailali, Raj Kumar Singh.

Shahi, who was walking in a field near his house this morning, died on the spot after being struck by lightning. Investigation into the incident is underway, deputy superintendent of police Singh said.
