One killed, five injured as ambulance collides with school van in Nawalparasi

Nawalparasi. Nawalparasi: One person was killed when an ambulance collided with a school van at Devchuli in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) this morning. Five people, including two students, were injured in the accident, police said.

According to police, an ambulance (Na 4 Cha 4616) carrying patients to Narayangadh and a school van (Ba 20 Cha 72) heading in the opposite direction collided at Dumkoli Chowk in Devchuli-2.

Kul Prasad Subedi, 52, of Devchuli-1 died in the accident, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhu Nepal, information officer at the District Police Office.

Subedi, who sustained injuries on his head and both legs, died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur at 9:20 am today.

Similarly, the injured and ambulance patients who were injured in the collision of both the vehicles have been sent to Manakamana Hospital in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
