One dead in fire in Makhantol due to gas leak

KATHMANDU: A woman died in a gas leak-related fire at Makhantol of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24.

According to Spokesperson of District Police Range, Kathmandu, Apil Raj Bohara, one person died in the fire that broke out in the four-storey house of Dayaram Shrestha.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. “The fire broke out due to a gas leak. The body of the deceased has been recovered. It is yet to be verified. Efforts are on to douse the fire. Rukesh Shrestha’s five-storey house has also caught fire.
