Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that it was against democracy for the opposition to disrupt the House by making the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak an unnecessary issue. Addressing a meeting of the CPN (UML) parliamentary party at Baneshwor today, Prime Minister Oli said that the regular activities of the parliament would resume from Tuesday.
“I have tried to talk to the main opposition CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to run the parliament regularly from Tuesday. “They may be in a mood to hold talks, not to hold dialogue and close the House. This kind of behavior doesn’t always work. The Parliament is not always closed,” he said, adding, “The resignation of the Home Minister has been sought without finding anything, while there is no complaint or investigation against the Home Minister.” Therefore, Parliament is not disrupted on such matters. The House will run from tomorrow. ’
Prime Minister Oli said that when a group sits on the streets with some demands, they will run and support the House, such actions will help in regression and will not cooperate with democracy. Urging the lawmakers to put forth their views logically in favor of the government’s budget as the country is moving ahead from a particular situation, PM Oli directed the ministers to give importance to parliamentary activities.
Stating that the budget has come in a different challenging situation at a time when the economy is declining and anarchy and dissidents are protesting, he said that monarchy is not the subject of debate today. “In today’s society, it is foolish to advocate the dynasty tradition and slave mentality of being a king. Elected representatives in India and China or the US. In some countries, the monarchy has shrunk. There is no scientism and judiciality of monarchy in the world.
At such a time, it is a pity to see the level of awareness of those talking about the restoration of monarchy in Nepal,” pm Oli said. It has to be governed by the constitution and the law. People are above parties. The source of all power is the people. Although anarchy and dissidents try to say that they will make Sri Lanka or Bangladesh, after all, they should understand that there will be a way out only after returning to democracy in those countries. ’
Stating that there has been frustration and frustration due to the resignation of power in some aspects, PM Oli said that there are ‘ghantakarna’ tendencies to not see the good work of the government and try to fail. “Being in the leadership of the government, we have been attacked focused while we have stopped the country from going downhill. We have done good work in all areas. We will move forward for development and good governance in a more effective manner,” he said.
