Non-life insurance company’s business crosses Rs 35 billion by Mid-April

Kathmandu. The current fiscal year 2019/20. The non-life insurance companies have earned more than Rs 35 billion in insurance premiums till mid-April 2018. According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) on May 29, the 14 non-life insurance companies operating in the country have earned a total of Rs 35.09 billion in insurance premiums.

Shikhar Insurance Company has earned the highest insurance premium till mid-April of the current fiscal year. The company has earned Rs 4.68 billion in insurance premiums during the period. Sagarmatha Lumbini is the second largest earner of insurance premium. The company has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 4.04 billion.

Siddhartha Premier Insurance has earned Rs 3.47 billion while IGI Prudential Insurance has earned Rs 3.02 billion till mid-April.

Himalayan Everest Insurance earned Rs 3.08 billion in insurance premiums during the period, while Neco Insurance earned Rs 2.70 billion.

NLG Insurance has earned Rs 2.42 billion while The Oriental Insurance has earned Rs 2.25 billion till mid-April.

United Ajod Insurance has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 2.09 billion till mid-April. Sanima GIC Insurance earned Rs 2.09 billion in 10 months while Nepal Insurance earned Rs 1.68 billion.

Prabhu Insurance Company has earned Rs 1.43 billion till mid-April while National Insurance has earned Rs 929.9 million in total insurance premium. The state-owned National Insurance Company has earned Rs 1.16 billion.
