NIFRA gets approval to issue bonds worth Rs 5 billion

Kathmandu. Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) has received permission to issue debentures worth Rs 5 billion. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBI) has given permission to Nifra to issue a bond named ‘Nifra Energy Debenture’.

Now NIFRA will issue a total of 5 million units of debentures at a face value of Rs 1,000. Out of the total units, Nifra will sell 3 million units individually and public issue of the remaining 2 million units.

This bond of NIFRA is of 7 years duration. Investors will get 6 percent interest per annum. NIMB Ace Capital is the bond sales manager of NIFRA.
