Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal has sent about 27 tons of relief materials to the Government of Myanmar as assistance. A 16-member team, including high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and journalists, left for Myanmar on Wednesday with the relief materials.
The team is scheduled to hand over the relief materials to the representatives of the Government of Myanmar this morning, said Tapas Adhikari, Joint Secretary and Head of the Southeast Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 27 tons of materials are being handed over on behalf of the private sector and the government.
