Nepal Rastra Bank withdraws Rs 60 billion in liquidity from the banking system

Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank is going to raise 60 billion rupees from the market today (Wednesday). With more liquidity in the market, the Rastra Bank is going to raise 60 billion rupees on Magh 30.

The banks will get back the principal and interest of 60 billion rupees that the Rastra Bank is going to raise for a period of 21 days on Falgun 21.

The bank has stated that banks and financial institutions of category A, B and C can keep deposits with the Rastra Bank equal to the number of digits that remain after dividing by a minimum of 100 million and a maximum of 50 million.

The interest rate on the deposits kept by the banks will be determined through bidding. That is, the National Bank has stated that it will accept deposits from banks and financial institutions that offer the lowest interest rates.
