Nepal Rastra Bank to introduce Rs 5 notes from today

Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank is going to introduce a Rs 5 note in circulation. The Rastra Bank is going to introduce a Rs 5 note in the same size and color as before from today (Baishakh 2).

According to the Rastra Bank, notes with the anti-national phrase ‘If you come to demand payment of the rupee guaranteed by the Government of Nepal, you will get Rs 5 rupees immediately from Nepal Rastra Bank’ will be introduced.

On the left side of the front of the note, there is a water seal of Mount Everest and on the right side, the signature of the then Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari is there, and the series number of the note ‘BS 2081’ is written in Nepali on the border of the lower part. .

Similarly, on the front side of the note, ‘Nepal Rastra Bank’ is written in English in the upper part of the middle part, there is a picture of a wild yak and the Himalayas of the Limi region of Humla district in the middle, the border of the lower part of the note has ‘rupees five’ written in English and the series number of the note ‘2024AD’ written in English on the border, the Rastra Bank has stated.

Earlier, a notice was published stating that from 2077 Mangsir 10, 2077, bank notes of Rs. 5 rate (Series 2020) with code numbers from 000001 to 999999 would be brought into circulation, but only code numbers from 000001 to 560000 were brought into circulation.
