Pokhara. Stakeholders have said that the Nepal, India, China Exhibition 2025, organized for the first time in the tourism capital Pokhara, is a new opportunity to connect Nepal with the international market.
The three-day exhibition, led by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter with the slogan ‘Nice for Mice and More’, held in the tourist city of Pokhara, provided an important opportunity to connect the tourism industries of the three countries with the international market, said PATA member and program coordinator Sunil Bahadur Bhattarai.
‘It was a good opportunity to expand business relations by bringing businessmen and industries from the three countries to one place and the program was successful as intended,’ he said, adding that the latest thinking and demonstration of trade agreements and new partnerships were held throughout the exhibition .
He said that the exhibition provided an important opportunity for network expansion and partnership. He mentioned that it has provided more convenience for industries of the three countries to strengthen economic networks and create new opportunities for trade and investment.
PATA member Dinesh Maharjan said that more than 85 international buyers, 150 sellers and 75 international representatives were participating in the exhibition. In addition, more than 600 representatives participated in that occasion.
Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya said that Pokhara is now becoming a center for international trade and tourism exhibitions. ‘This exhibition has created business opportunities along with the increase in the number of tourists in Nepal,’ he said, ‘We have declared Pokhara Visit Year 2025, now various programs have boosted Pokhara’s tourism activities.’
He opined that Nepal’s economy can be strengthened if tourists from neighboring countries India and China can be brought to Nepal. He said, ‘The metropolis has emphasized on MICE tourism to make Pokhara Visit Year a success. This exhibition has made it stronger.’
He said that Pokhara, along with its natural beauty, is adding to the possibilities of organizing international events and this will attract new investments, develop tourism infrastructure and create jobs.
Pokhara Tourism Council Chairman Tarnath Pahari said that such international events will directly and indirectly support Pokhara’s tourism economy.
He said, ‘We are trying to promote tourism by highlighting the specialties of Pokhara, this exhibition will help establish Pokhara as a global tourism center. .’
He said that this program will have long-term benefits in the coming days in terms of expanding international flights, improving infrastructure and various tourism-related sectors. He said that it will have a positive impact on local businesses, hotels-restaurants, travel agencies, small and large enterprises.
The program included interactions with experts on topics such as ‘visa facilitation, sustainable tourism and hospitality services’. In addition, B2B meetings, exhibitions and business networking events gave priority to promoting international trade and tourism.
