Kathmandu. The Nepal government has decided to provide financial assistance of one hundred thousand US dollars to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday decided to provide the grant assistance to the institution, which is in financial crisis, as Nepal is a founding member country, informed the government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the institution during his official visit to Thailand and participation in the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), he said.
