Kathmandu. The Hetauda Industrial Area Management Office has canceled the agreements of three industries that have been closed for a long time and initiated the property auction process.
The Industrial Area Management Office has initiated the action process against Nepal Brewery Pvt. Ltd., Green Gold International Pvt. Ltd. and Baniya Multi Product Pvt. Ltd., which have been closed for the past three/four years. Sangita Kunwar, chief of the Hetauda Industrial Area Management Office, said that despite repeated letters to contact the operators of the industries that were closed for various reasons, action was taken as they did not want to come in contact.
“We have continuously called and written to the industry operators,” said Chief Kunwar, “but they did not come, so we have canceled the agreement and started the property auction process. A notice has been issued for the property auction, and we will complete the process and auction it soon.” Meanwhile, two more industries have come into operation in the Hetauda Industrial Area. With this, the number of industries operating in the industrial zone has reached 146, according to the Industrial Zone Management Office.
The last time Threestar Group started producing colored and plain cardboard and Baba Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. started producing small tin boxes, said Ramesh Raj Nepal, Information Officer of the Industrial Zone Management Office. Established on 20 Mangsir 2020 with financial assistance from the US government, 146 industries and establishments are currently operating businesses on leased land within the industrial zone.
10 industries are currently under construction within the industrial zone, which is spread over a total area of 3,228 ropanis. Of the total land area, 2,178 ropanis are currently leased, 26.52 ropanis are vacant land, and the area occupied by utility services, including road network, electrification, and sewage disposal, is 597 ropanis.
There are 10 industrial buildings, 11 warehouses, and 34 other buildings constructed by the office within the industrial area. The Industrial Area Management Office has been collecting rent for industrial buildings, warehouses, quarter buildings, and land based on the needs and demands of the industrial establishments within the industrial area.
