Kathmandu. Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, has said that the compulsion of foreign employment will continue until 500,000 employment opportunities are created annually. Speaking at a program of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in Kathmandu on Monday, he said this.
He informed that 500,000 people enter the labor market in Nepal every year and only 100,000 of them get employment. He said that the number of people going for foreign employment will not decrease until the remaining 400,000 people are employed. He informed that the government should create employment opportunities every year.
He said that everything is favorable from the overall political situation of the country to create opportunities. He said that the current government was formed not only to form the government but to work. He informed that the government has no room for failure. Labor Minister Bhandari said that an internal employment division is being formed to look into employment opportunities within the country.
