Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has urged hydropower project companies that have completed connection agreements to submit necessary details. Issuing a notice, the NEA has urged the government to submit the details required for the power purchase agreement (PPA) within four days.
For this, a committee was formed under the coordination of the Deputy Executive Director of the Business Development Directorate under the direction of the Executive Director of the NRA. The committee has asked 50 companies to get in touch with the details within four days as they have to submit the report soon.
The notice should include details of whether the project falls within the park, reserve or protected area, status of project preparation (generation license), completion of financial arrangement, status of construction site and status of environmental study along with brief progress report.
As per the directive, letters have been sent to 50 hydropower companies including Grid Nepal, Upper Trishuli, People’s Hydropower, Goma Ganesh, Mizu Energy, Simbua Remit Hydro, Surya Energy and Union Hydropower.
