Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (INSURANCEA) has handed over the prize money to the winners of the state-level essay competition.
The authority distributed cash prizes of Rs 20,000 each to seven winners of the state-level essay competition organized with the objective of promoting insurance education and literacy.
On the occasion of the 57th anniversary, six provincial offices of NEA handed over certificates along with prize money to the winning students of their respective states. Similarly, Chairman sharad ojha handed over the prize money and certificate to The Winner of Bagmati Province at a program held at the central office.
Dhanraj Shah, a student of Mahendra Morang Adarsha Multiple Campus, Biratnagar, Morang from Koshi State, Kabita Kumari Yadav from National Academy Campus, Birgunj, Parsa from Madhes State, Dil Bahadur Bhandari from Khyapa College of Law Bhaktapur from Bagmati State, Kusum Chhetri from Pokhara University, School of Business, Pokhara, Kaski from Gandaki State, Nira Adhikari from Butwal Kalika Campus, Rupandehi from Lumbini State. Tara Kumari Malla, a student of Mid-Western University, Faculty of Education, Surkhet from Karnali State and Divya Panta, a student of Bahmakhi Campus, Dhangadhi, Kailali from Sudurpaschim State won the prize.
A total of 89 essays were collected from across the country in the essay competition titled ‘Poverty Reduction and Importance of Insurance in The Country’s Economic Development’.
Out of the essays collected from the undergraduate students, the best seven essays were declared winners on the basis of content, relevance, originality, linguistic purity, etc.
The NRA believes that such competitions will help to make students aware of insurance, which is an important tool of risk management, and promote insurance education and literacy.
