Kathmandu. The ‘Ncell for Business Bahrakhari Golf and Economic Dialogue’ is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu this year. Bahrakhari Media informed about the corporate golf tournament being organized annually by holding a press conference in Kathmandu on Monday.
The tournament will be held on Chaitra 23, 9 April 50 at the Gokarna Forest Resort Golf Course in Kathmandu. This is the eighth edition of the Ncell Bahrakhari Golf, and around 120 corporate players will compete in this tournament this year. The tournament will be inaugurated at 8 am.
The tournament will be held in a stable format over 18 holes. This means that no more strokes will be allowed on any hole than the specified number. This rule will save time in a big tournament. Golfers from India, America, China, Singapore, and Sri Lanka will also participate in the tournament. Representatives of foreign missions in Nepal will also participate in the golf competition.
Similarly, corporate golfers, judges and some high-ranking government officials from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dharan, Chitwan, Butwal, Nepalgunj and other areas will also participate in the competition.
The competition between players from the corporate sector is a prestigious competition in the country. The ‘all-round’ winner will receive a golf ball made of 24-carat gold and other prizes. In addition, the winners in various other categories will receive trophies and certificates.
If a competitor achieves the target in a single shot on the designated hole, he will receive a BYD ‘Etto Three’ vehicle as a ‘hole-in-one’ prize. At the event on Monday, Chief Commercial Officer Umer Mohsin of Ncell for Business, the main sponsor of Bahrakhari Golf, expressed his happiness over the continuation of the collaboration with Bahrakhari.

If the government wants to increase tourism, it is necessary to promote the golf course by leasing the land for a long time. May the love you have shown continue. Yamuna Shrestha, Managing Director of Cymex Inc., said that Bahrakhari has connected golf and the economy. ‘Cymex is very happy to collaborate with Bahrakhari. Gokarna Golf Club Director Deepak Acharya said that although there are many competitions in Nepal, Bahrakhari Golf will add a special excitement to the players.
‘There are many golf tournaments in Nepal. However, when Bahrakhari Golf is held, the players wonder if they will miss this tournament. The players are eager to participate in this tournament. This also shows the level of this tournament. Developed countries are paying special attention to golf to increase tourism,’ Acharya said.
‘The government also needs to pay attention to the fact that tourism can be increased through golf for the economic development of the country. I would like to thank the Bahrakhari family for connecting us with golf,’ he added.
Similarly, Bahrakhari Media Pvt. Ltd. President and Editor-in-Chief Pratik Pradhan said that international golf players will participate in the tournament at their own expense. They said that they will return after participating in the tournament. ‘In golf, foreign players from those living in Nepal to those who are foreign players are participating. We do not bring them at our expense, they come on their own,’ said Pradhan.
There was a voice raised at the press conference that economic dialogue should also be linked to sports. In response, Editor-in-Chief Pradhan said that the emphasis was on economic dialogue because problems arise in the economic sector and the problems in this sector should be brought to the public.
Editor-in-Chief Pradhan says that such dialogues can be held even in the coming days related to separate sports. Along with the corporate golf tournament, the ‘Economic Dialogue’ organized by Bahrakhari Media annually with the aim of contributing to Nepal’s economic prosperity is also being held on the same day at the ‘Court Yard’ of Gokarna Forest Resort.
This year, around 1,500 guests, including golf players, will attend the ‘Ncell for Business Bahrakhari Golf and Economic Dialogue’ program. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to deliver a special address at the ‘Economic Dialogue’ immediately after the golf tournament.
The economic dialogue will discuss Nepal’s economic situation, obstacles in the business sector, opportunities and challenges in the technology sector in Nepal, the need for the second phase of economic reform, and other issues. Bahrakhari Media has stated that the ‘economic dialogue’ has been organized with the aim of providing support to the country as it needs to move towards the ‘next phase of economic reform’.
The economic dialogue program will be attended by high-ranking officials at the policy-making level of Nepal, the Finance Minister, various ministers, heads and office bearers of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, corporate sector personalities, professors, intellectuals, economists, bankers, entrepreneurs, federal members of parliament, members of the provincial assembly, ‘content creators’, and others.

This golf tournament, which was held with the aim of setting a world record, was given great attention by media around the world. Before that, the first and second editions were also held at the Gokarna Golf Club.
