Ncell and CAN collaborate for ‘Women’s T20I Tri-Series’

Kathmandu. Continuing its unwavering relationship with youth and sports, Ncell has collaborated with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) for the ‘Women’s T20I Triangular Series’.

Under this collaboration with CAN, Ncell is confident that this game will energize Nepali cricket fans and contribute to the development of women’s talent in cricket. This collaboration is based on Ncell’s ‘We are for you’ theme and its commitment to supporting the development of cricket and sports in Nepal.

The matches under this series have started today, Thursday (Magh 17) at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Calling on the Nepali women’s cricket team to support the series, CAN has made admission to all matches free of charge, the company said.

The participating teams in the series will compete against each other three times. In today’s first match, the host team Nepal will compete against the Netherlands, Ncell said. In other matches, Nepal will play against Thailand on Magh 19, against the Netherlands on Magh 20, against Thailand on Magh 22, against the Netherlands on Magh 23, and again against Thailand on Magh 25.

Ncell said that this collaboration is a shining example of growth, development, innovation, and mutual dedication to excellence. The company said it aims to reach new heights by contributing to the development of sports, youth empowerment and promotion of social cohesion.

Since its inception, Ncell, as a responsible corporate citizen, has been making significant contributions to sports and talent development in Nepal. For example, Ncell was associated with this year’s Nepal Premier League as a Powered By Partner. The company has been supporting Nepali cricket, football, volleyball, golf and para-athletes to participate in various national and international competitions.

Similarly, Ncell also supported the 5th Tiger Cup, the Triangular T20I Series 2024, ICC League 2, and the Nepal-Canada ODI Series. Ncell also supported various football tournaments including Birtamod Gold Cup and Jhapa Gold Cup.

Ncell, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), has been collaborating with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Nepal to support and assist national para athletes.

Last Bhadra, after Para-Taekwondo athlete Palesha Govardhan achieved a historic victory at the Paris Paralympics 2024, the Ncell Foundation honored her with a prize of Rs. 1 million.
