Itahari. Kathmandu: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that discussions are underway to reopen the Parliament today. In a meeting with nc leaders and cadres at Itahari in Sunsari today, he said an agreement has been reached among the major parties for running the parliament.
“I will give information through video as to why the parliament has been opened in some time, but today the parliament will open soon,” thapa said. He has come to Itahari to attend the Koshi Province Convention of Tamang Ghedung.
Speaking at an organisation dialogue programme organised by Nepali Congress Constituency No. 2 ‘A’ on the occasion, General Secretary Thapa said the parliament would gain momentum from today itself. Stating that there were positive signs towards ending the political deadlock in the country, he said the Nepali Congress would move ahead as per democratic practices and people’s expectations.
