Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has made it clear that it will not take responsibility for everything prime minister KP Sharma Oli has said. Nc spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said this while talking to reporters after a meeting of nc office-bearers held at party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha on Monday.
Stating that Prime Minister Oli was also the chairman of the CPN (UML), he said that there was no need to take responsibility for everything he said.
Stating that they were in favour of defending the constitution as a whole, Spokesperson Mahat argued that they could protest and express their views using the rights given by the constitution. He argued that the constitution has given the right to protest and protest peacefully.
He said it was not right to go against the constitution. He said that activities against the constitution would not be acceptable to the NC, targeting the movement of the royalists on May 15.
“The Prime Minister is also the leader of the UML party. We didn’t have to take responsibility for everything he said. We don’t care about possession. We are in favour of defending the constitution as a whole. By exercising the rights given by the constitution, you can protest, you can express your views. But it should be kept peacefully. We are confident that it is not right to go against the constitution. ‘
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, at a programme on Sunday, had directed the cadres to end the agitation called by the royalists for May 15. He had said that the UML should control Kathmandu from 11 am to 2 pm on Republic Day.
