Kathmandu. Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri today approved the National Exotic Species Management Strategy and Implementation Plan. The National Exotic Species Strategy and Implementation Plan 2081, which has been in the approval process for the past 15 years and has not been approved, was approved today through a ministerial decision.
The strategic plan, which was prepared by incorporating the opinions and suggestions of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and other stakeholders, was approved after about 15 years, informed Dr. Rajendra KC, Director General of the Forest Research and Training Center. Director General KC said that this strategy will control the exotic species, which is a complex problem, and prevent it from spreading.
