Kathmandu. The National Private and Residential Schools Association Nepal (N-PABSAN), which has been playing a sensitive role in the purification and strengthening of the education sector, has drawn attention to the agitation of community school teachers and school employees.
Says that the continuous agitation on the Maitighar-Baneshwor road section since Chaitra 20, at the call of the Teachers’ Federation, is affecting school education. N-PABSON has urged all parties directly concerned with education to be serious about this issue.
The teachers have intensified the agitation demanding the promulgation of the School Education Act and ensuring service security. N-PABSON has expressed concern that due to this, teaching and learning in community schools has come to a standstill and that this may have a long-term impact on the learning of students. The organization has made it clear that such a situation is unfavorable for the overall educational development of Nepal.
In a statement issued by N-PABSAN President Geet Rana Chhetri, it has been expressed respect for the contribution of teachers, stating that any disrespect towards teachers is unacceptable. It has also been emphasized that solutions should be sought through serious discussions and negotiations regarding legitimate demands.
The statement has appealed to all stakeholders to adopt a restrained, responsible and solution-oriented approach, urging the government to create an environment of immediate dialogue with the agitating teachers and to show the will to resolve the problems.
