He said, “Let us review the buffer zone seriously. Let us issue instructions from our meeting today. Let us review the buffer zone as provided in the law. Private settlement areas and inhabited areas do not fall within the buffer zone.” Let’s keep the border in a way that doesn’t include that. Let’s remove the idea of keeping settlements, settlements, and private land within the buffer zone. There has been a serious violation of human rights, and there is an unnecessary conflict between citizens and the forest administration. There is an unnecessary conflict between the local government and the park administration, and that conflict should be expressed through our representatives, so we also don’t want to treat the forest administration employees unkindly.’

In the meeting, Nepali Congress MP Jeevan Pariyar said that the government should pay attention to how the people of the buffer zone can live comfortably, emphasizing that the government should provide alternative arrangements or seriously formulate laws to ease the problems of the people living in the buffer zone.

The committee meeting discussed Sections 9 and 72 related to the Ministry of Forests and Environment regarding the bill to amend some Nepal Acts.
