Kathmandu. MPs have demanded an investigation into the incidents that took place during the Tinkune protest on Chaitra 15 and action against the culprits. In a meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee held at Singha Durbar on Sunday, MPs have demanded action against the culprits.
MPs have pointed out that the government has shown weakness in terms of security in the Chaitra 15 incident. They have expressed the view that the government should be serious about the loss of life and property by violating the right to peaceful protest by exercising the constitutionally granted rights.
Speaking at the committee meeting, CPN-UML MP Chhabilal Bishwakarma said that the Tinkune incident is unforgivable. He said that no matter how much the incident is condemned and condemned, it will be less. The government and police administration, saying that they had to bear the losses due to their failure to obtain the necessary information based on their mechanisms, should learn from this and be aware in the coming days. He said that the government had failed in not giving space to protest around sensitive areas like the airport.
Speaking at the committee meeting, CPN (Maoist Center) MP Gyanu Basnet Subedi expressed regret over the incident that took place in Tinkune on Chaitra 15. She urged those involved in the incident to be brought to justice.
In the committee meeting, MP Dr. Toshima Karki of the National Independent Party expressed her sorrow over the incident on Chaitra 15, saying that the incident had disrupted the environment for education and health, as well as the environment for the youth to live in the country. She protested against the incidents that ended lives and said that we should be vigilant to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
MP Karki expressed her suspicion that the government’s leadership had failed and said that it was necessary to shake the government. She demanded action against those involved in the incident.
