The SPCC has deployed a team of 10 people to pave the way from the base camp of Everest to the second camp.
Similarly, skilled Everest climbers have recently been deployed for the ‘rope fixing’ work, i.e., to pave the way from the second camp of Everest to the peak. The Mountaineering Association of Nepal has deployed an eight-member team of ten Sherpa climbers led by Ashok Lama to fix the ropes to the peak of Everest. According to the association’s general secretary Rishiram Bhandari, the climbers went to Everest a few days ago to climb Mount Everest and Lhotse in the spring season.
