More than Rs 4.65 billion in disaster fund

Kathmandu. The government has informed that there is a reserve of Rs 4.65 billion in the disaster management fund. Acting Executive Chief of The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bandhu Prasad Bastola, said that the amount can be used for emergency situations during disasters.

According to him, rs 1.89 billion is in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, Rs 1.27 billion in the Central Disaster Management Fund and Rs 794.1 million in the State Disaster Management Fund.

According to nea, there are 60 million, 9 million in Koshi, 117.8 million in Madhes, Rs 75.8 million in Bagmati, Rs 250 million in Gandaki, Rs 65 million in Lumbini, 95.2 million in Karnali and 118.9 million in Sudurpaschim Province.

Acting Executive Chief of NEA Bastola informed that rs 690.5 million has been deposited in the fund of all 77 districts. He said that the NRA has intensified the necessary preparations for this year’s monsoon preparedness and response and has also assigned responsibility to various agencies.

“All the clusters have been fully assigned responsibility for emergency emergencies,” he said. All the preparations have been completed so that the disaster incidents take place immediately. He said that the funds stored in the fund will be mobilized immediately as per the need in case of an emergency.
