Kathmandu. More than 500,000 foreign tourists have entered Nepal in the last five months of 2025.
According to the data provided by the Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 501,264 tourists visited Nepal from January to May. A total of 86,216 foreign tourists visited Nepal in May alone.
A total of 79,991 foreign tourists visited Nepal in January, 96,880 in February, 121,800 in March and 116,490 in April.
In May, the highest number of 28,160 tourists from India, 9,074 from the US, 8,824 from China, 4,280 from Bangladesh and 3,473 from the United Kingdom entered Nepal.
According to the Board, 34,350 tourists from South Asian countries and 18,069 tourists from Asia and other countries visited Nepal in May. A total of 13,330 tourists have arrived from Europe and 1,515 from middle eastern countries.
Compared to the same month of 2024, 95.6 percent more tourists entered Nepal. Foreign tourist arrivals have increased by 111 percent compared to 2019.
