More than 3.5 million tourists visit Myanmar’s Schweedagan Pagoda in six months

Agency. The Shwedagon Pagoda, also known as the Golden Pagoda in Myanmar, attracted more than 3.5 million visitors in the first six months of this year.

Yu Boye Thin, a member of the Schwedagan Pagoda Board of Trustees, gave this information. More than 38,000 of them were foreign visitors.

Most of them came from China, Thailand and Vietnam. The Schwedagan Pagoda is open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time.
