Monsoon one month: 674 incidents, 31 dead, 112 injured

Kathmandu. A total of 674 monsoon-related disasters have been reported from May 15 to June 15. At least 31 people were killed and 112 others injured in the incidents.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 25 houses were partially damaged and 11 houses were completely damaged in 87 incidents of landslides during the same period. During the review period, a bridge, seven sheds and 14 cattle were killed. The landslide has caused damage worth Rs 22.1 million.

Similarly, four people were killed and four others injured in 64 incidents of floods. As many as 123 families have been affected by the floods. Four houses were damaged. Eight people were killed and 20 others injured in 82 incidents of lightning. One person was killed and three others were injured in 45 incidents. An amount of Rs 260 million has been lost in the disaster.
