Kathmandu. Mobile phones of various brands worth 18.98 billion 13.55 million rupees have entered Nepal in the first seven months of the current fiscal year. According to the data released by the Customs Department, 1229,957 mobile phones were imported into Nepal until the month of Magh.
With the import of mobile phones in that quantity, the government has collected a revenue of Rs 3.53 billion 9.734 billion.
In the last fiscal year 2080/81, 1126,747 smart phones were imported into Nepal in the first seven months, for which mobile users spent Rs 17.38 billion 3.691 billion abroad.
Through this, the government collected a revenue of Rs 3.23 billion 5.733 billion. Data shows that mobile phone imports have increased in the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year.
