Tulsipur. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has immediately allocated a budget of Rs 10 million for the expansion of Tarigaun Airport in Tulsipur, Dang. Deputy Mayor of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, Syani Chaudhary, informed that the ministry has written to the Ministry of Finance to ensure an additional budget of Rs 990 million.

The airport, which was established in 2011, is currently unable to accommodate even large aircraft. Currently, the airport is 750 meters long. If it is extended to 1,500 meters, 72-seat aircraft can land. But currently only 19-seat aircraft can land. Since small aircraft have not been able to benefit significantly, preparations have been made to bring the budget and start the work, Deputy Mayor Chaudhary said. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had also inspected the airport a few days ago.
