Lamjung. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the government has brought an ordinance to maintain good governance in the country.
Today, at the diamond jubilee program of Mangala Secondary School in Sotipasal, Madhya Nepal Municipality-3, he said that the government has amended 13 laws through ordinances as there is no development without good governance.
Gurung, who is also the government spokesperson, said that the constitution amendment will be done only with national consensus. However, he mentioned that federalism, secularism, proportionality and inclusiveness will not change.
He said that the current government was formed by the Congress and the UML for political stability and protection of the constitution. “Whenever the country needed it, the Congress and the UML have always come together, and now they have come together based on the same need,” he said.
He recalled that both political parties had come together from the Panchayat period to the establishment of the Republic. He also said that the government has taken a strong stand against cooperative fraud.
Among those present on the occasion were Jamindra Man, a central member of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and a member of the Constituent Assembly.
