Kathmandu. An academic understanding has been signed between Nepal Engineering College (NEC) and Nepali Architects Society (SONA) to conduct academic and professional activities. The academic partnership between NEC and SONA is expected to further enrich the academic and professional activities at NEC.
The MoU was signed by the college’s principal Durga Prasad Bhandari and the president of SONA, Ishwar Lal Joshi. According to the agreement, the college will open the door to collaboration in research, workshops, seminars and student engagement programs, said Durga Prasad Bhandari, principal of the college.
The agreement states that innovation in engineering and architecture will be promoted, skill development programs, sustainable and practical design will be promoted, industry-academic relations will be strengthened, and expert speakers will be interacted and lectures will be conducted for student learning.
This MoU is said to be an important step towards enhancing the quality of engineering and architecture education in Nepal. The college, which operates as a non-profit social educational institution, has been collaborating with various educational institutions for the learning of engineering and architecture students.
