Kathmandu. Vice Chairman of The National Planning Commission Prof Dr Shivaraj Adhikari and newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Bishwanath Poudel held a meeting today.
In a meeting held at the Planning Commission in Singha Durbar on Tuesday, they discussed the inter-relationship and independence of the finance policy and monetary policy. They also discussed ways to facilitate each other in the implementation of the two policies simultaneously.
They expressed confidence that the economy would be restored to pre-COVID-19 levels and achieve high sustainable and inclusive economic growth as targeted by the plan.
During the discussion, Vice-Chairman Adhikari informed about the reforms carried out by the National Planning Commission on the issues of financial transfer, re-prioritization of the project, effective implementation of the project bank and medium-term expenditure structure.
Similarly, NRB Governor Dr Bishwanath Poudel said the NRB would facilitate in this regard to create an environment for investment by attracting the private sector in infrastructure development. They also discussed further discussions on such issues from time to time.
