Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that there is no truth in the news that has come out in the media that services will be provided to former special forces. He said this while talking to media persons outside the Parliament building on Sunday.
He said that many important works have to be done with the limited resources of the country. He said that services should be provided only to the extent that the country can afford them. He accused the media of creating confusion by spreading false news and claimed that looking at the country’s economy, service facilities will decrease but will not increase under any circumstances.
He said that the government has come up with a draft law on the service facilities provided to the former special needs after realizing the need for a law.
He said, “There is no truth in this, there can be no increase. It decreases, it does not increase. It can decrease, but it does not increase. But the government must have talked about the draft law saying that a law is needed on this matter. But there is no truth in it when it is said publicly in the media that it is trying to increase. This is misleading. There is no increase, if the law comes tomorrow, it will decrease but not increase. We talk about reducing, we do not talk about increasing, we are sure.” We should talk about service facilities by keeping in mind the resources, means and capabilities of our country. Now, many other important tasks need to be done with limited resources.’
MP Mahat said that in the past, the Nepali Congress accepted the king as a symbol of unity so that the people’s representatives would exercise the power of governance. He said that the king chose the path of a republic after taking away the rights of the people and taking them into his own hands.
