Jhapa. Mechi Customs Office has collected Rs 12.94 billion revenue in the 10 months of the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Which is 91.51 percent of the target set for the same period.
Information Officer at the Office, Ishwor Kumar Humagain, said the revenue collection target was Rs 14.14 billion in the current fiscal year. “In the same period of the last fiscal year 2080/81 BS, only 76.85 per cent of the revenue collection target of Rs 15.08 billion was collected, but this time we have achieved 91.51 per cent of the target,” he said.
According to the office data, 60.55 percent or Rs 7.83 billion revenue has been collected from the import of petroleum products from mechi customs during the 10 months of the current fiscal year. Similarly, rs 583.315 million was collected from import of vegetables, Rs 365.315 million from transport vehicles and their components, Rs 241.03 million from mineral production, Rs 193.69 million from coffee, Rs 202.994 million from pulses and Rs 202.994 million from pulses, according to Information Officer Humagain.
In the 10 months of the current fiscal year, goods worth Rs 21.45 billion have been exported and rs 198.968 million revenue has been collected. In the same period, goods worth Rs 38.88 billion were imported and revenue of Rs 12.74 billion was collected.
