Kathmandu. Chief Whip of Rastriya Swatantra Party Santosh Pariyara has said that the main opposition party CPN (Maoist Center) has betrayed the opposition parties in the name of two-point agreement. He said this while talking to media persons after holding discussions with chief whips convened by Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
He said the RSSWP has been agitating over the issue of visit visa and immigration and the agreement reached by the Maoists on behalf of the opposition is an act of sabotage. He said the government did not take the issue of human trafficking seriously.
The NCP has complained that there has been no hearing before taking a step forward in good governance.
He said, “The RASPA is agitating over the issue of visit visa and immigration. We have tried very hard, we have communicated for a long time. And yet the government did not take the issue seriously. There was no hearing to move a step forward in good governance. The agreement reached by the main opposition was not in terms of concrete and implementation and justice. The level of investigation that should have been done could not be done. It was done to sweep and to make us bow down. Raswapa did not agree. You need discretion in meetings. ’
Stating that they did not back down from the home minister’s resignation, he said the NCP was responsible for the functioning of the House. He said the House could not function until a consensus was reached on the five points submitted by them and a high-level probe committee was formed.
